I worked on the environment art for the game including all the backgrounds, trees, plants, and animal environments. For this project I did many studies of natural environments and plant life to build up a understanding of how to create similar environments, I then used these sketches to create final designs. This process taught me the importance of initial designs and sketches when creating environment art.

The project also helped me understand how to create cohesive environment assets for a game as the visual style of the game was a main feature. I had to do research into more natural colour palettes and once one was created I need to follow it throughout the final designs of the assets, as well as making sure the art style and rendering of each was done the same so that they felt natural when placed next to one another.
